One of the primary goals of the field committee is to help

 newcomers get into the field and have fun with their dogs!

There some clubs that offer training days and occasionally classes, but most people get started by working with a more experienced trainer.  We're happy to volunteer time, birds and advice to beginners. Only requirements are a cocker and a willingness to try it!
